Communication Solutions Wins Two Awards at PRSA Pepperpot Awards

We were honored to have two award-winning campaigns recognized by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Philadelphia Chapter. Held annually, the PRSA Pepperpot Awards celebrates the best PR campaigns, tactics and professionals in the Philadelphia region. 

In the community relations category, Communication Solutions won a Pepperpot Award for running public awareness campaigns for three New Jersey Fire Districts. The campaigns led to all three passing their budget referendums in 2025, allowing the fire districts to purchase the necessary equipment and resources to protect their firefighters and the community.

In the internal/employee communications campaign category, Communication Solutions won a Ladle Award for its in-person training program that empowered real estate agents at Quinn & Wilson Realtors to create social media video content. Read more about the campaigns.

Leza Raffel Appointed to Montco Gateway Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors

The Montco Gateway Chamber of Commerce appointed Leza Raffel to its Board of Directors. Leza has been an active and dedicated member of the Chamber for 32 years, currently serving on the Marketing Advisory Council and having previously presented at Chamber meetings on marketing, public relations and social media management.

Most recently, she facilitated a visioning session for board leadership and conducted member surveys, which were instrumental in fine-tuning the Montco Gateway’s communication strategy and rebrand rationale, unveiled in October.

Building New Connections in Texas

Communication Solutions has officially joined the Metroport Chamber of Commerce, marking a strategic expansion into the Dallas-Fort Worth region.

PR Specialist Cassie Morrison, who lives in Fort Worth, has been attending networking events with the Chamber and also attended the Small Business Expo in November.

Advocacy for Associations at MASAE

President Leza Raffel presented on "Mastering Media Relation: Association Advocacy in Good Times & Bad" at The Mid-Atlantic Society of Association Executives' (MASAE) Conference in Atlantic City.

Presenting Communication Strategies at PSBA

President Leza Raffel presented "Communication Practices in Changing Times: A Tale of Two School Districts" with Dr. Sam Lee, Superintendent of Bensalem Township School District, and Dr. Chris Polzer, Assistant Superintendent of Bristol Township School District, at the PASA-PSBA School Leadership Conference.

Recruiting 25 Volunteer Firefighters in One Year

Communication Solutions helped The Community Fire Company of Perryville in Perryville, Md., land 25 new volunteers in just over a year!

The recruitment campaign brought in 16 certified firefighter/EMTs, five EMTs, and four administrative members who help maintain the fleet, run community events, and take on other non-emergency roles.

The number of firefighters per call is up and response times are down. Great work, Perryville Fire Co.!
