CWLC Family Connections Webinar

You and your families are invited to an online event for foster, kinship and customary care families to learn and hear how your peers have been nurturing connections to family, community, culture and language in difficult circumstances.
Months of physical distancing due to the COVID-19 pandemic have had a significant impact on the development, family relationships, cultural connections, and mental health of children and youth.

We must all be creative and determined in our efforts to protect, maintain and increase young people’s connections to family, community, culture, and language, both now, and after the pandemic.

Because the majority of children and youth who come into care are placed in family settings, foster, kinship, and customary care families have a big role to play.

Governments are easing restrictions on family visitation, but there is still a lot of uncertainty about the future. Families are having to manage their own health and well-being, while caring for children and youth who need additional support.
This session will be held on June 16 at 4 pm - 5:30 pm and the cost is FREE. Register here: Family Connections - CWLC Webinar Link: https://conta.cc/2ze1Nx4
