Strength of faith, character, and boldness can only be shaped over time in the hidden forces of silence, sameness, solitude, and adversity. Study the life and times of the prophet Elijah and discover how the fire on Mount Carmel was forged in the valley of famine - and how the fiery faith you desire is being fashioned by God in your life right now. This is a Bible study featuring DVDs by Priscilla Shirer and there will be weekly assignments in the student handbooks distributed the first night of class.

“The Chosen” is a TV drama series about the life and ministry of Jesus. It spotlights men and women in the Bible who had struggles and flaws like we all do.  Learn how their encounter with Christ helped them develop spiritually and emotionally. Group members will watch "The Chosen" videos and use the companion guide.

The Book of Revelation often has been regarded as a mysterious book, quite beyond the comprehension of the average lay reader. Its many references to angelic beings, its elaborate description of Christ as he appears in the heavenly courts, its use of such mystic numbers as three, seven, twelve, and their multiples, the accounts of strange beasts, symbolic names, and definite time periods — all suggest some hidden and inner or secret meaning that supposedly can be detected only by an expert. For these reasons, many people have ignored the book, feeling that any attempt to understand it is futile. In this small group, Betsy will show you understanding this important book in the Bible is possible.
