Second-year audiology students were welcomed into the profession at the white coat ceremony. Amanda Cooley inspired students with her keynote speech, and Patricia Carr, who taught Cooley during her 26 years at USF, shared the history of the white coat in health professions. FMHI to host colloquium on peer support and recovery
The Louis de la Parte Florida Mental Health Institute's 2023 colloquium will bring together subject matter experts to discuss the domains of peer support and recovery, integrating practice, policy, and research. There will be individual speakers, panel discussions, and community partner information tables.

USF's University Communications and Marketing's Faculty Media Training will include best practices in a variety of areas – from working with reporters, to framing your expertise for a general audience. The two-part training will help you grow more confident speaking about your research.

2023 Cycling for Autism

Over the past 11 years, the Tampa Midtown Rotary Club has raised over $200,000 with its annual Cycling for Autism event to support individuals in our community who have an autism spectrum disorder. Proceeds this year will benefit the Applied Behavior Analysis Program and the Center for Autism and Related Disabilities at the University of South Florida, and the Tampa Midtown Rotary Foundation.

The purpose of the Activist Lab Boot Camp is to provide an advocacy education and practice program. The boot camp is centered around particular public health issues with the opportunity for participants to learn from experts in the field. This year’s boot camp is focused on suicide prevention. Registration is free for students or $39 for USF faculty & and staff.
