Training Resources for Accessible Communities (TRAC)

Sponsor: Children’s Board of Hillsborough County

10/1/2022-9/30/2024

Amount: $ 49,000

The goal of TRAC is to educate and support family-serving agencies to be able to adapt both materials and strategies to positively affect the trajectories of families in which a primary caregiver has an intellectual or other disability that might impede their acquisition or application of parenting skills. This proposed project has three primary components: 1) fully develop a core training for agencies with topical materials and embedded interactive components to foster the acquisition of new skills and familiarity with techniques and materials; 2) fully develop methods for supporting and coaching agencies following training in order to foster mastery of skills, and 3) implement training and follow-up framework with two local agencies and gather data related to agency and family response to intervention.
