CSD Professor Selected for ASHA Leadership Development Program

Dr. Devon Weist

Devon Weist, AuD, CCC-A, has been selected to represent USF in ASHA's Leadership Development Program for audiologists and speech-language pathologists. Dr. Weist will join her CSD colleagues Marian Lowther and Mary Pyfrom in the webinar series that encourages the development of ASHA members' leadership skills.

Strategic Plan Implementation Advisory Committee Announced


President Rhea Law announced an Implementation Advisory Committee to spearhead the implementation of the university's 2022-2027 strategic plan "In Pursuit of Excellence." Formerly the Strategic Plan Steering Committee, this group will provide guidance and advice around the execution of the strategic plan and ensure engagement with the USF community. Dr. Theresa Chisolm, Vice Provost and CSD professor, will serve as co-chair of the committee. She will assist in reviewing plans and offering feedback on the implementation phase, which begins on July 1.

2022 Summer Research Institute Cover

The Louis de la Parte Florida Mental Health Institute (FMHI) at the University of South Florida is dedicated to research and education related to substance use and co-occurring disorders. FMHI invites undergraduate students to apply for a highly selective Summer Research Institute that is funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA). 


The Summer Research Institute (SRI@FMHI) is designed for students interested in building their research skills within the context of substance use and co-occurring disorders to help them prepare for a Senior Thesis and/or graduate school.
