USF recognizes CBCS staff for outstanding contributions to the university
Three College of Behavioral and Community Sciences (CBCS) team members were recognized with a 2024 Outstanding Staff Award at USF's celebration on Jan. 24. The Outstanding Staff Award honors USF employees who demonstrate above-and-beyond performance and support the values in USF's Strategic Plan, contributing to the university's success and upward trajectory. CBCS faculty contribute to discussion on patient experiences with medication-assisted treatment services
Faculty from the USF School of Social Work, Department of Mental Health Law and Policy, and College of Nursing participated in a local panel discussion on medication-assisted treatment services in the Sarasota-Manatee region. Representatives from Operation PAR and the National Alliance on Mental Illness Sarasota also contributed to the robust discussion on community needs and patient experiences with medication-assisted treatment services. Older adults in the community in need of care and support struggle with loneliness and social connections post-COVID which can affect their health and well-being. Attend this one-day conference to understand the problems facing older adults and their caregivers across the care continuum (community, assisted living, nursing home, and hospice) from health and aging service professionals and learn about services and resources to address issues related to loneliness, social isolation, grief, and bereavement.

This family-friendly event provides an evening full of fun, entertainment, food, and a silent auction. Funds raised from the event support CARD-USF's Autism Services Fund.
