Communitee Spotlight: How our community came together for good

Was anyone else watching “Some Good News” with John Krasinski last spring? This show resonated with us because in spite of the uncertainty of those early COVID days we couldn’t help but feel upbeat as we experienced firsthand the creativity and generosity of our community. The bottom line? Our community is made up of a whole bunch of INCREDIBLE individuals and businesses willing to lend a helping hand whenever they can.

During the first uncertain months of the pandemic several of our customers launched fundraising campaigns using our Online Merch Stor es. They inspired family, friends, and members to get involved in the effort —collectively these organizations raised close to $40,000 during March-July 2020! This money was used to:

Support local businesses that were struggling with COVID19 related closures

Purchase iPads for patients that were isolated in the hospitals to help them communicate with their families

Provide food, clothing and shelter to families in need

Purchase laptops for children so they could do remote dance classes

Contribute to a healthcare scholarship fund

If you purchased one of the Communitee shirts, YOU made this campaign a success, helping us raise almost $8,000 for 27 local businesses.

A portion of every sale went directly to the individual business or organization showcased on the tee to help them make it through the COVID closures.
