Happy New Year fellow bloomers!
CiB National is planning a regular CiB program in 2022 (with slight adaptations where required in the event of COVID-19 restrictions). Since judging will be conducted in late June-July 2022 and will take place outdoors, CiB National will attempt to adjust aspects such as physically distancing, limited indoor events, masks, etc. should these measures be required.

Your community's personal invitation has been sent....keep an eye out for it in your email inbox! Didn't get the email? Check your spam folder to make sure it didn't end up there! If you have any questions about the 2022 National Edition and International Challenge please do not hesitate to contact our Program Specialist bloom@cib-cef.com

In the past year, we have hit the refresh button on our program to ensure that it remains relevant, and continues to be a critical guide for our participants to use as they weather the storms and work to provide safe, secure, and sustainable communities for all residents and businesses.

One of our primary objectives in the past quarter of a century has been to help grow great places together through the CiB program, helping communities to be the best they can be whatever the weather.

We are excited to share this short promotional video and would like to inform you that we have also prepared a longer version that could be used to present to council or special groups to promote to the CiB program. We also created a Powerpoint presentation with speaking notes. If you would like to receive a copy of these promotional materials please contact our CiB National Program Specialist bloom@cib-cef.com
We are pleased to announce that Communities in Bloom (CiB) and Mark's, known as L'Équipeur in Quebec, have partnered to offer 10% off regular priced items to all National AND Provincial Registered Communities, Committee Members and Volunteers.

Once your community registers for the 2022 CiB National or Provincial Edition, you will receive all the details and voucher to share with your community in your welcome package. We hope you and your volunteers will enjoy and take advantage of this savings program!

For more information, please feel free to contact your CiB Provincial Liaison or the CiB National Program Specialist bloom@cib-cef.com
If not, we hope that YOU will invite your municipality to do so to demonstrate its support for its garden community and all the benefits that gardens and gardening bring to their communities. To help you, here is a link to an invitation, a proclamation template, and a presentation on the Year of the Garden 2022. Send this to your councillor or mayor with an email explaining why you feel your municipality should celebrate the Year of the Garden 2022, National Garden Day and be a Garden-Friendly City.

Listen to Dorothy Dobbie, the Gardener from Lifestyles 55 Radio, interview Janice Lukes, City of Winnipeg Councillor who proposed to proclaim 2022 the Year of the Garden which was unanimously approved on July 22. Click here to listen.
This national program is designed to engage all Canadians in a year-long celebration of our country’s vibrant garden culture and horticultural heritage.
