Amy DeYoung, LPC , who specializes in trauma, including medical trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), recently increased her hours to offer more evening availability.

Ms. DeYoung has more than a decade of experience working with those surviving, living with, or impacted by cancer or other medical complications. She also treats anxiety, depression and issue related to grief/loss.

She uses an existential and strengths-based approach, incorporating cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help clients relate their thoughts and behaviors and understand how they influence the way one feels. Ms. DeYoung’s approach also integrates mindfulness, meditation and EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing).

A graduate of George Washington University, Ms. DeYoung has advanced training in CBT and EMDR.
