The days are getting longer which means "so much more time for activities!" One of my favorite things about living in Michigan is the fact that we know how to pack so much in to such a short period of time during the summer... we know how to make it count!
Here at the Chamber, we kicked our "summer" off with our annual Golf Classic on June 3rd at Morrison Lake Golf Club. Congratulations to our 1st place winners - Restore Church (mens) and Ashton King Insurance Agency (mixed).
I'd like to thank ALL of those involved in helping make the 2022 Ionia Golf Classic a huge success. Morrison Lake Golf Club was a fantastic host and went above and beyond to pull off an incredible event. None of it would be possible without the time and commitment of our Golf Classic Committee and event volunteers or without the generosity and support of our event Sponsors and donors.
A special thank you to PFCU, Mercantile Bank, Herbruck's Poultry Ranch, Walker, Fluke & Sheldon, White's RV Rental, Greenridge Realty Darin Elliott, Young Automotive, Biggby Coffee, and Southside Restaurant. This year was certainly one of our biggest and best and we already can't wait to be back next year!

We are just a touch behind schedule as we extended our deadline for advertisors. We are working on finalizing content with a goal to distribute by the end of June. We will send out a notice the minute we have them in hand and you are able to stop by and pick up your stack.

Operations/Staffing
Things are getting somewhat back to normal! Well.. kind of! We are so thankful to be rebuilding our team. Our marketing intern, Hannah, has recently graduated from Cornerstone University and has been able to increase her time with us to ~10 hours per week. We've also been excited to welcome Haley for ~8 hours a week to serve as an assitant to help me keep caught up on well, all kinds of things! Next week, we will be joined by a participant of West Michigan Works! Youth Work Experience program for 18 hours per week, for a duration of 6 weeks. That means of course that we have some training and adjusting to do, but we're excited!
