Every one has a gift for something, even if it is the gift of being a good friend.
-Marian Anderson
In honor of Black History Month, Pathways is proud to feature the latest work from J.D. Steele entitled, LISTEN! PLEASE!

In his words, J.D. offers the genesis of the project:

“I was honored to interview four octogenarians including my Mother Sallie Steele Birdsong, Dr. Josie Johnson, Elder Mahmoud El Kati, and Bill English. Their stories were moving and compelling. At this moment in time, their history and stories really matter. They are living history. We still have a way to go to overcome systemic racism. Our hope is to stimulate a multicultural dialogue that continues to address these issues.”

J.D. Steele is a long-time friend of Pathways and our founder, Penny Winton, is the executive producer of this powerful film.
