Details:
All RCSD stakeholders are asked to join the District this Saturday, November 6, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Franklin Campus, located at 950 Norton Street, for a community action initiative.

Students, families, staff, and the entire community will join a critical conversation on how to address violence in Rochester. At this meeting, the District will work collectively to develop tangible action items to support bringing back peace to schools and the community.

Saturday’s agenda will include a panel discussion with District leaders and community partners facilitated by Dr. Seanelle Hawkins from the Urban League of Rochester. Stakeholders will then join various discussion groups for further collaboration, including:

  • Students in Action
  • Parents in Action
  • Fathers Initiating Restorative Engagement (F.I.R.E.)
  • Social-Emotional, Mental Health, & Well-Being for Students, Families, and Staff

To register in advance of Saturday’s community action initiative and to provide feedback and solutions on how to promote peace and reduce violence, please visit www.rcsdk12.org/feedback. Community voice is critical to this conversation.
