Welcome 2026!

As we look ahead to a fresh new year, it’s a great time to set intentions that help us grow, support one another, and bring a little extra good into the community. At Macon-Bibb Economic Opportunity Council, we’re kicking off 2026 with a few resolutions of our own, fun reminders of the impact we hope to make every day.

1. Spread Even More Kindness per Square Mile

In 2026, we’re doubling down on neighborly care, one warm smile, one helpful hand, and one community win at a time.

2. Make “Opportunity” Our Favorite Daily Word

Whether it’s housing assistance, energy support, or family services, we’re resolving to open more doors, lift more voices, and celebrate every success story.

3. Champion Self-Sufficiency Like It’s a Superpower

This year, we’re helping more families tap into the power within, through coaching, resources, and programs that make long-term stability a reality.

4. Keep Learning, Growing, and Laughing Together

From staff trainings to community partnerships, our team resolves to grow smarter, work stronger, and keep joy at the heart of everything we do.

5. Celebrate Growth Through Head Start Learning

This year, we’re cheering on every child’s “aha!” moment—whether it’s a new word, a new skill, or a big leap in confidence. Head Start reminds us that learning is worth celebrating every single day.

What about you, do you have a New Year’s resolution for 2026? We’d love to hear how you’re kicking off the year!
