Celebrate Black History Month in Macon!

Black History Month is a time to honor the history, culture, and contributions of African Americans who continue to shape our community. Here in Macon and Bibb County, residents can celebrate throughout February by visiting local museums, attending cultural performances, supporting Black-owned businesses, and exploring historic neighborhoods that tell our shared story. These moments of learning and connection help strengthen our community and inspire progress for generations to come.

Reading is Love

Reading is Love returns for February! Macon-Bibb EOC invites parents, volunteers, and community leaders to share the gift of reading with our youngest learners. Throughout the month, volunteers are encouraged to visit our classrooms and read one or more books to children up to 5 years old, helping spark a love of learning and connection through storytelling. Your time and voice can make a meaningful impact in shaping early literacy and creating lasting memories for our children.
