Dear Neighbors,

The Chicago Police Department has issued a community alert for an incident that occurred recently in our neighborhood.

On May 15, at approximately 4:20 P.M. on the 300 block of Webster, two males inside a white van attempted to lure two girls by motioning for them to come closer. The girls refused and ran away and the offenders fled in the vehicle.

The offenders are described as a  white male around 20 years of age, with brown straight hair wearing "goggles," and a  Hispanic male around 20 years of age with brown hair.

The girls were unharmed and the police continue to investigate. Please remind your children to be aware and alert, and as always, please dial 9-1-1 to report any suspicious activity.

If you have any information, please contact the Bureau of Detectives - Area Central at (312) 747-8380.

If my office can be of assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us directly at 773-348-9500 or via email at  yourvoice@ward43.org.
