Moving forward, the following requirements will apply for joining a committee:
1. Attendance Requirement
- To be eligible, an individual must have attended at least two meetings of the committee within the past four months.
2. Application Form
- Applicants must complete the updated Committee Registration Form found on the CB17 website.
- The form will include a short statement of interest (up to 200 words) in which the applicant explains why they wish to join the committee.
3. Probationary Period
- Once the form is submitted, the applicant enters a 60–90 day probationary period.
- During this period:
- The applicant must maintain regular attendance and may not miss three consecutive meetings.
- The applicant cannot vote until the probationary period is completed.
4. Final Determination
- At the conclusion of the probationary period, CB17 will review the applicant’s participation and make a determination.
- The applicant will then be informed whether they have been appointed as a committee member.
