A reminder that there will be no school on Friday, March 15, in support of professional development time for educators and support staff.

The MFPA is thrilled to present our 9th annual Medway Family Concert on March 24th at the Medway High School Auditorium at 2 pm.

This year, we are featuring The Unlikely Strummers, a group of Ukulele players that will provide a fun afternoon. All concertgoers with a Ukulele are encouraged to bring their own Ukulele and strum along! We will also have the Memorial School Ukuleles on hand for students who want to join the band!

This FREE concert is an hour long, and complimentary refreshments are provided at the show's end.

Medway Middle School's Performing Arts Department presents Frozen Jr., the musical. Performances are scheduled on April 5 at 7:30 pm and April 6 at 2:00 pm & 7:30 pm.

Kindergarten registration will open on February 5 for the 2024-2025 school year. 2024-2025 kindergarten students must be five years old by August 31, 2024. Registration information will be available in three locations: 1) online, 2). Office of the Superintendent at 45 Holliston St., and 3). Office of the McGovern School at 9 Lovering St.

Preschool registration is open. Children three years old by August 31, 2024, and turn four years old AFTER Jan 1, 2025, will be considered for the AM sessions.  Children four years old by August 31, 2024, or will turn four years old by December 31, 2024, will be considered for the PM sessions.

'SUPMEDWAY

What is the #buildingbrightbrains campaign about? It is a series of initiatives to share messages with parents and adolescents that brains continue to develop until age 25, and choices made during youth can change the brain's structure for better or worse. Like this post or follow SUP Medway as we continue to empower both teens and their parents with tips on what "boosts" the brain and facts on what to avoid to not "bust" brain development.

NOMINATION PAPERS FOR THE MAY 21st, 2024 TOWN ELECTION are now available at the Town Clerk's office. If you have any questions, please get in touch with the town clerk's office at 508-533-3204 or email townclerk@townofmedway.org. The last day to pull papers is March 29 by 5:00 pm.

The dog licensing/renewal deadline is March 31, 2024. There are a few ways to obtain a license: in person at the Town Clerk's Office located at 155 Village Street. A $50.00 late fee will be applied after April 15/per dog.

Medway's 11th annual Clean Sweep is scheduled for Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 8:00 to 11:00 am. 

Rally a team for Clean Sweep and make Medway sparkle! Join us in our efforts to keep our community clean and pristine. Together, we can make a big difference.

Medway Lions Club will hold their annual all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast on Sunday, March 24, 2024, from 8:00 am to noon. The event will be held at the Medway High School cafeteria, 88 Summer Street. $10.00 for adults, $7.00 for seniors.

DPW will host a Household Hazardous Waste Day on Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 9:00 am-1:00 pm. Here is a list of acceptable items in the flyer.

MEDWAY PARKS AND RECREATION

Join us on Sunday, April 7th if you love puzzles! Individuals will compete to finish a 300-piece puzzle in the shortest amount of time! Puzzle is provided.  

MEDWAY PUBLIC LIBRARY

Join us at the library the week of March 18-23. We have toddler jam, homeschool hangout, Arduino, read the rainbow, toddler story time, move, groove, & learn dance party, and more!

This free program serves homebound Medway residents of retirement or nursing facilities and individual homebound Medway residents of all ages. A librarian will coordinate the delivery of books and other circulating library items. Monthly, bi-weekly, or weekly delivery schedules will be arranged for participants. Section 35 Online Information Session Wednesday, March 13th!

Chris' Corner Recovery Resource Center in Milford offers an info session on Wednesday, March 13th, at 7 PM through Zoom.

Massachusetts General Law Chapter 123, Section 35 is a law that allows a qualified person to request a court order requiring someone to be civilly committed and treated involuntarily for an alcohol or substance use disorder.

While public officials like police officers, court officials, and medical personnel can apply for a Section 35 order for individuals suffering from alcohol or substance use disorders, blood relatives, spouses, and guardians are also eligible. If you want to learn more about how you can help and support loved ones who may qualify and benefit from treatment, contact Lisa Trusas at LTrusas@chriscornermilford.com to secure your spot.

MEDWAY COUNCIL ON AGING

The Center is looking for Veterans who would be willing to share their story for the 7th Annual Veterans Project. If you are a Veteran and interested please contact Marcia Lombardo at 508-533-3210.

Lunch is offered every Tuesday and Thursday at the Oakland Café (76 Oakland St) from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. All are welcome to join, just call and place your order, at 508-533-3210. Meals are $5.00 and come with a dessert.

2024 Medway Spring Day Trips: Van trip Signups begin morning of Thursday Feb. 22nd for Medway Seniors and Members of Friends. All others Feb. 29th signup. Once the seats are filled on the bus a waiting list will be created. All trips must be paid in full by check (bank or personal) upon signing up.
