This is an unprecedented time for us. Events on the ground are shifting continually. The last few days have seen multiple closures and cancellations. There is concern and confusion in the air.
The WNDC was founded on the values of community and solidarity. As we monitor fast evolving events we have the well-being of our staff and members in mind and all our decisions will be informed by the guidelines set out by the CDC and other governmental authorities.
We also want to extend our help and assistance to our members as they take steps to keep themselves and others safe. We are setting up a WNDC “pod” for community support to ensure members who need assistance can get it.
If you are healthy and want to help please sign up to assist in getting groceries, walking pets, running errands, providing meals, providing tech support, or picking up prescriptions for the vulnerable. In turn, should you need help, please sign up as well.
If you are self-quarantining for any reason, please let us know so we can check in with you and provide whatever assistance is needed.
We will be sending out periodic messages to members of our community with helpful updates and timely information. Stay tuned for emails and go to our website for ideas.
We are all in this together, and we will get through this with each other’s love and support.
