CBB Client Modern Twist is celebrated by State of CA
CBB joined California Infrastructure and Economic Development Bank (IBank), the Governor's Office of Business Economic Development (GO-Biz) and our partner SAFE BIDCO to celebrate IBank's 1,000th small business loan guarantee at a news conference in the Governor's Council Room at the State Capitol to Kat Nouri, owner of Modern Twist. CEO Bill Keller presented Kat with a check for $450,000 which included a line of credit and a loan, a portion of which was guaranteed by the State of California.  Read More

CBB Joins the Jefferson Awards
As a High School Hero, CBB is supporting the Jefferson Awards Students In Action, youth leadership team at San Mateo High School. Students In Action is an intensive leadership training program for high school students designed to build leadership, promote engagement and deliver and measure impact. The youth leaders discover what they care about and develop solution oriented service projects to address issues directly.  As the High School Hero, Mark Roach, SVP and Manager of the San Mateo Office of CBB, will be one of the judges evaluating presentations by all students on the Peninsula  to determine which will proceed to compete in the Regional Finals. 

The Jefferson Awards is a national public service organization that offers an intensive training program students in high school with the goal of making the world a better place. Students In Action empowers students to think big, choose their own public service passion, engage their entire school and broader communities, and create maximum impact.

Teddy Bear Adoptions Raise $7,000 for Capes 4 Heroes
 
The week of Christmas, hundreds of children that were in the hospital for the holidays due to life threatening diseases, illness and disabilities were given the gift of superhero strength of a super hero cape and the comfort of a teddy bear. Thanks to the support of many of you, our generous clients, we raised $7,000 for Capes4Heroes and made the holidays merrier for many.

Meet Coach David Meyer
For 10  years, David Meyer, Team Leader in the Danville Office, has been coaching girls youth basketball. From August thru February, when he isn't helping his business and commercial clients get access to capital, you will find him on the court with his girls team. He started coaching to support his daughters when they decided to play and his love for the game. 

His proudest moments include the six  times that his  daughters' teams that won the Tri-Valley Championship.  Today, it is seeing his team play well and actually do things that they couldn't do a few weeks earlier. Though his daughters no longer play on his team, he continued coaching  to support the local CYO Program in San Ramon/Danville. "With a shortage of coaches, by volunteering to coach, 10 more girls get the opportunity to play basketball that otherwise would not.

Colleen Benatar-Chair of the 11th Annual East Bay Women's Conference
March 7th is the date for the 11th annual East Bay Women's Conference presented by the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau in conjunction with John Muir Health and Stanford Children's Health.

The 2016 conference features Keynote Speakers Leslie Blodgett and Mavis Nicholson Leno and Featured Speaker Anne Mahlum.  Event Emcee is ABC 7 news anchor Dan Ashley.

Celebrating eleven years of excellence, the East Bay Women's Conference is the only conference of its kind in San Francisco's East Bay that provides women the opportunities to come together and participate in programs of personal and professional enrichment and development.  Recognized by the community for programming excellence, the conference has enjoyed sold out attendance of nearly 600 since its 2006 inaugural event.  The conference blends speaker presentations, breakout sessions, exhibitor booths, author signings, luncheon and end of the day reception.
