I hope this email finds you well on this, partly cloudy , Thursday.

Today’s update will be, when compared to yesterday's , short and sweet/ focused on some fun events happening tonight and over the next few days. So let’s get to it.

Tonight, Thursday, December 5th , the evening will see businesses along Smith & Court Streets celebrating the holidays with extended house hours and free samples , Pig Beach hosts a tree lighting party in Gowanus, and the Park Slope Civic Council meets / at celebrates at the Old Stone House and in Red Hook, at PS 676 from 5 until 8 PM, there will be community organizing training.

The weekend will also feature more holiday cheer with celebrations such as festivities in Red Hook’s Coffey Park on Saturday , December 7th from 2 until 8 PM and at 5 PM sharp, in Carroll Gardens on the Court Street side of Carroll Park , they’ll be a holiday tree lighting and possible visit from a person famous for giving gifts in record time.

Again I’ll remind you that our final general board meeting of the decade will be next Wednesday, December 11th , 6:30 PM, at the Cobble Hill Health Center .

As I say every weekday, we’re lucky to have such an active community, and there is a chance I’ve missed something. If there is an event or anything else community-centric happening that you think I/others should know about,  please reach out .

Have a great evening and, as always, feel free to share  this information  however you’d like.

PS- Alternate Side Parking is in effect tomorrow, Friday, December 5th , and if you haven’t done so already, please take the Brooklyn Bus Survey as you won’t be able to do so after next Wednesday.
