Community Church Meditation
- - -
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday meditation programs meet at Gorton Community Center room 215 (upstairs - use stairs or elevator).
Room 215 is on the second floor at the east end of the hallway - the second to last door on the right. Sunday meditation meets in Reid Hall room 100 - across the breezeway from the Lily Reid Holt Chapel of Lake Forest College. All meditation sessions are 45 minutes or less except for Women's Meditation on Monday evenings that meets for a full hour. A few notes on what makes each session unique:

• Women's Meditation on Monday evenings from 7:15 to 8:15 pm is based on Pema Chödrön's Things Fall Apart. No need to get a copy of the book which is provided. Drop-ins are welcome to join anytime.

•  Tuesday meditation is designed to help transition from the busyness of the day (whether it be work or shopping or schlepping the kids) to home, and is hosted by Venu @ 5:30 pm.

• You never know what you're going to get at the Wednesday morning session - but there are always several smiling faces to greet you and encourage your meditation practice. Whether you have a practice or are curious to begin building a practice of meditation, this session is welcome to all-comers (as are all of the sessions). Hosted by Zach @ 9:00 am.

• On Friday mornings you know what you're going to get: a good dose of Steve's calming presence and a reading from the book he likes to read from: Eastern Wisdom for Your Soul by Richard Singer. 9:00 am

• If you believe Sundays are for resting, centering, and transitioning to a deeper place of being then this session is for you. We begin at 9:00 am. Afterwards you can walk across the breezeway and experience the worship service which starts at 10:00 am.
