SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO PARKS & RECREATION
Community Civic Campus Update
Join us at the South San Francisco Parks and Recreation Commission meeting on Tuesday, January 15 at 7:00 p.m. at the Council Chambers in the Municipal Services Building for an update on the Community Civic Campus. The project is currently in the schematic design phase, the first design phase where design options are explored that illustrate the general scope, scale, and relationship of project components. Each building will be analyzed based on the technical aspects of the site, preferred spatial adjacencies, building circulation, building systems, and material aesthetics.

The project architect, SmithGroup, will present design options to obtain further input on community preferences.

About the Community Civic Campus:

The exciting Community Civic Campus project will be located at the northeast corner of El Camino Real and Chestnut Avenue. The new campus, scheduled to open in late 2022, will consist of new state-of-the-art facilities. Phase 1 will include a Police Station and combined Library and Parks & Recreation Community Center, with parking and landscaping improvements. Schematic design is the first design phase, where design options are explored that illustrate the general scope, scale, and relationship of project components. Over the next several months the project architects will continue to advance the schematic designs. Project architects, the SmithGroup team, will share their progress to date on the schematic design for the joint Library/Community Center at a series of public meetings in 2019:
