Happy New Year to Our Community

Happy 2025! Wherever you are in the U.S. (or globally) you might be under a bit of a chill right now! So stay warm. As we start the new year, we want to focus on the possibilities that this year brings in advancing international education and the Fulbright message in community colleges. If you are teaching, as you start the year consider how the Fulbright message of cultural exchange, global awareness, and peaceful coexistence can benefit your students. If you are not teaching, consider other ways in which the Fulbright message can enhance your work and environment. Read through our newsletter for upcoming opportunities to engage with our community. We'd love to hear from you. Email us here.

Check Out Our Website Make Over

A major undertaking of the board over the winter break was updating our website. You can reach it here. A big "thank you" to Dillon Johnson (son of board secretary Laurie Wolfe) for working with us on it. We plan on keeping it updated and current with events, a member spotlight, and news from the international education community.

Alumni Spotlight Coming Soon!

The website will feature an alumni spotlight where monthly we will feature a Fulbright communty college alum. Grantees from all Fulbright programs are welcome. The feature will focus on sharing about the Fulbright experience and the work that has continued at a community college upon returning to the U.S. Spotlights would be about 500 words and include a photo and contact information. If you are interested in sharing about your experience, contact us.

Resources for Applying for a Grant!

On our website, we have some resources you can consider in applying for a Fulbright grant (from various Fulbright programs). Check it out. And let us if you know of other resources or can't find something you are looking for.

College and University Fulbright Liaisons

If you are teaching at a community college, you likely have a Fulbright liaison at your institution. Check out this list to find out who it is. If you not have one, ask your administration to designate someone (or volunteer to be that person!).
