I sincerely hope that you and your children have had a productive and rewarding school year. We appreciate your support in the task of providing a quality education to your children and will work diligently during the upcoming 2017-2018 school year to do the same. 

Last year we developed a Strategic Plan to serve as a guide for our districts' improvement efforts. That plan was developed in the spring of 2016 and reviewed this past April. We have made significant progress in working to achieve the key strategies of the Strategic Plan. Many of the advancements in our plan will offer more opportunities for our families and students as we begin the 2017-2018 school year. 

For the first time we will be offering a wide array of online learning opportunities for students at the middle and high school level. We are also happy to collaborate with the local YMCA in developing an on-site before and after school program for kids in grades K-5 at both Central-Denison and Star Center Elementary Schools. This, along with work done by our building staff in making transition from grade-to-grade and building-to-building a more seamless process, are all things that should be very visible as we get ready to enjoy summer vacation and prepare for another school year. 

With that said, your level of satisfaction with our schools is dependent upon the everyday efforts of our classroom teachers! They appreciate your support, and I know that a huge majority of our staff go above and beyond to provide that great experience for your children which any parent can appreciate. Hopefully, their work has had a profoundly positive impact on your child this year.

I hope all of our students and families enjoy the summer and get many opportunities to do the things you want to do! Enjoy your travels, family, friends and the outdoor opportunities that summer provides us in the Lake Geneva area.  

We will see all of our students and staff in September ready and eager to begin another rewarding school year.
