Community Connections

March 2024

2nd Edition

There are many ways in which you can help us make a difference! Share your insight on community needs, join us at our Economic Self-Sufficiency Graduation, volunteer with us, donate, and continue to support our mission of ending poverty in

Bucks County.

Community Needs Assessment

Every three years, BCOC conducts a survey of the residents of Bucks County to better understand the community’s needs.

We are asking people who live or work in Bucks County to help us by responding to this survey,

which should take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.

Please follow the link below to access the survey.

Spring is a perfect time to

volunteer with BCOC!

The HELP Center is a warehouse in Lower Bucks County that houses both perishable and non-perishable food. From the HELP Center, BCOC distributes food directly to food pantries and through our home delivery program.

Each week, we seek volunteers to help sort food, pack food boxes, and deliver food to homebound seniors. This is a fabulous way to support BCOC, meet interesting people, and help in your community!

Volunteers are also needed to pick up and deliver food donations across Bucks County on Tuesdays and Fridays.

You would start from our Administrative Office in Doylestown at 8:30 AM. Drive, or ride with another volunteer, the BCOC food van to Wegmans in Yardley. Load donations at their loading dock and then deliver to one or two local Bucks County food pantries.

If interested in driving, we will need a copy of your current driver's license and car insurance. Volunteers are covered under BCOC's insurance.

Anyone can ride along to assist, which is a good way to become familiar with the operation and routes.
