Distinguished Alumni and Lifetime Achievement honorees

ECTC is recognizing eight alumni and two retired employees for their exemplary work in and outside of the community through the annual Profiles of Excellence celebration.

Now in its 16th year, the Distinguished Alumni program has recognized academic, professional and humanitarian endeavors of 130 former students. Those recognized this year include Debra Childress, Diane Medley, Jon Kimberlain, Kenny Rambo, Kimberly Scarborough, Leroy Keeling, Makote Abe and Timothy Wells. Dr. Camille Hill, a former professor, Arts and Humanities Chair and leader of the ECTC Choristers, and Linda Howard, a former professor, General Education SLO Coordinator and Division Chair, will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award for their service to the college. 

ECTC offering Smarter Summer program through CPE grant

Registration is now open to students for Smarter Summer, a program designed to help new students get ready for college. 

“Coming out of the pandemic, many students find they need some help getting started with college,” said ECTC President and CEO Dr. Juston Pate. “Through our partnership with CPE, Smarter Summer offers additional resources that make a difference and set students up for success in the Fall 2022 semester.”

Students selected for KCTCS All-Academic Team

ECTC students Melissa Huggett and Molly New have been selected for the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) 2022 All-Academic Team.

“These students have worked hard and been very successful at ECTC,” said Chief Academic Officer Darrin Powell. “We applaud all they’ve accomplished and are very proud to have them represent the college on the KCTCS All-Academic Team.”

Lynette Kennedy, of Radcliff, was recently named Family Scholar House (FSH) liaison for Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC).
