What Does Safe Haven Mean to You? "Picture Safe Haven" is an arts competition that asks Twin Cities artists to create 2-D work in response to the prompt, “What does Safe Haven mean to you?” Up to five winning designs will be chosen as posters to share the work of Haven Housing throughout the year. Each winning artist will receive a cash prize awarded at a community-wide, family fun event on July 31st, to coincide with North Minneapolis' popular FLOW Arts Crawl. This project has been designed with partner arts organizations. Winning designs will be selected by members of ROHO Collective.

Next Step Housing Stays Connected Feeling a bit nervous about emerging from pandemic isolation? We are too. At Next Step Housing, staff are going the extra mile to support residents as they step back out into the world. Recently, they accompanied a resident with some pandemic jitters and feelings of isolation on an errand to the bank. The resident was happy to get out and is already planning her next errands, a big personal victory for her! We’re grateful to provide the support needed for each of our residents as they achieve their goals, large and small. Next Step Housing has been successful at keeping residents connected throughout the pandemic with virtual case management and house meetings. We’re looking forward to even more in-person opportunities to build relationships as more and more residents are vaccinated!

Visual Black Justice organized a donation drive and provided Haven Housing with four giant bins of hygiene supplies, including much-needed textured hair care products. We were able to restock our shelves to provide for months' worth of residents needs! Colliers Minneapolis-St. Paul is a key partner in our Build Safe Haven project, helping us transform family sleeping rooms at St. Anne's Place Shelter into spaces of comfort and refuge.
