ECTC celebrates first December graduation


ECTC celebrated its 59th commencement Monday at Grace Heartland Church in Elizabethtown, marking the college’s first December graduation ceremonies. More than 100 students and hundreds of their guests attended the ceremonies.

Toyota’s TECS Elite program enhances training

Scholarship set student on the path to advanced degree


Scholarships can be the difference between completing your educational goals or never even starting the journey. Melissa Huggett, ECTC graduate and KCTCS Presidential Scholarship recipient, is a perfect example.


“My goal was to go to school without having to put any financial hardship on my family,” she said. “With the scholarship and financial aid, I’ve been blessed to continue our life without adding extra burdens.”

For ECTC Air Conditioning Technology student Tristan Morrison, his time at the college is about more than just earning a degree. It’s about creating a lasting career.


“This is a trade that can follow you until you retire,” he said. “Everyone will need their heating or air conditioning serviced at some point.”
