AMAP hosts Rise of the Robots

ECTC and the Advanced Manufacturing Accelerator Project hosted Rise of the Robots VEX Scrimmage on On Dec. 14. Seven area schools participated, bringing 13 different teams to compete in the VEX Scrimmage.

Community food drive feeds 101 ECTC families for Thanksgiving

Thanks to a community-supported meal drive, Family Scholar House was able to provide Thanksgiving meals to 101 ECTC families - 361 individuals. It could not have been accomplished without generous donations from the community.

Thanks to the generosity of the community, these families had a happy Thanksgiving.

Metallica Scholar finds confidence in herself

For ECTC industrial maintenance student Misti South, working with her hands gives her a sense of accomplishment.

“I like the feeling I get when I see my work completed – taking something broken and making it work again,” she said.

The new Metallica Scholar at first lacked the confidence that she had what it took to work in the male-dominated industrial maintenance field, she said.

Finding critical support at Family Scholar House

In a blue cap and gown, Gloria Mabini recounted her long road to becoming a college graduate. She would not be standing there, waiting to line up for the processional at ECTC’s Fall 2024 commencement ceremony, if not for the support she found at Family Scholar House and the ECTC Student Success Hub.
