COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS
Recently we had our five year accreditation visit as a school district (see story below). I am always proud to be the DC West Superintendent, but I was extremely proud to have highly regarded educators come into our school system and validate the excellent teaching and learning that happens each day. They noticed that not only do we care about the academic success of our students, we also care for them as human beings. DC West is a special place with special people. Thanks for being a part of our Falcon family!

DC West Student and Parent Engagement Survey Results 2019
Annually, DC West Community Schools surveys parents and students on their level of engagement or satisfaction using an outside agency to facilitate the process to help us achieve our greatest potential. In November, the survey was given to 554 students grades 3-12 and also sent to parents resulting in 125 responses. The results were reviewed by teachers and administrators who created action plans to maintain the areas of strength as well as address areas for improvement. HUMANeX facilitated these action planning sessions as well as presented the results to the Board of Education.
Parent and student feedback is extremely important in guiding our continuous improvement as a school district and we value the information these surveys provide.
