Tutoring drives student success, volunteers needed
Student success is a driving force for everything ECTC implements and executes. Tutoring services are just one of those important opportunities supporting student success, said Alexis Hutchinson, First Year Experience (FYE) program staff.
“Students who receive tutoring have significantly higher grades compared to those who do not receive tutoring, but the positive outcomes don't stop with improved grades,” said Hutchinson. “They also benefit from improved study habits, improved social skills, improved self-esteem, confidence, and more.”
