Beacon of Light Awards honor

nine African American leaders

ECTC celebrated nine area leaders at the 2023 Beacon of Light Awards, which honor African Americans in the college’s 10-county service area for their successes, exemplary service to their professions and communities, and their commitment to servant leadership and equity.

Profiles of Excellence 2023

ECTC is recognizing eight alumni and two retired employees for their exemplary work in and outside of the community through the annual Profiles of Excellence celebration. The Profiles of Excellence celebration will be held in person for the first time since 2019. The event is 6-8 p.m. March 16 in the Morrison Gallery at ECTC. ECTC Nursing receives state-of-the-art labor and delivery mannequin

Elizabethtown Community and Technical College’s nursing program is now training students on a new labor and delivery high-fidelity mannequin, Victoria, capable of simulating up to nine true-to-life labor and delivery experiences.

EHCIF creates training endowment through the ECTC Foundation

Elizabethtown-Hardin County Industrial Foundation has partnered with the ECTC Foundation to invest nearly $140,000 in an endowment that will support the region’s future workforce training needs.

ECTC hosts production for KCTCS campaign

KCTCS launched new commercials this spring that were actually filmed on ECTC's campus over fall break 2022. A special thanks to all the ECTC staff and faculty that provided expertise and assistance!

ECTC students and alumni connect with employers through Handshake

ECTC students are now using Handshake, a free online career platform, to search for full- or part-time careers, internships, co-ops and apprenticeship opportunities. Handshake brings together students, colleges and employers all on a single platform and is available for ECTC students and alumni.

ECTC Senior Days brings a one-stop shop to graduating seniors on their school’s campus, making the enrollment process even easier.

1,127 students make President's and Dean's lists

ECTC has announced the names of students who made the Dean’s List and the President’s Honor List for the Fall 2022 semester.

ECTC: all in the family

Among ECTC’s student population, 6.95 percent are prior military or active duty using Veterans Affairs benefits to pay for tuition. Thomas Hackett is one of those students. A former Army infantryman, he retired as a sergeant first class after 21 years of military service.
