Nurse Pinning Surprise

Army Sgt. Maj. Oscar Mullinax surprised his wife, 2022 Nursing graduate and Veteran Ana Mullinax during the ECTC Nurse pinning ceremony May 6.

Recently, Oscar has been at his next duty station in Virginia while Ana finished her nursing degree in Kentucky, unable to attend the pinning ceremony. Before being pinned, Ana listened to a congratulations message recording from her husband but was then shocked to see him walk onto the stage to congratulate her in person. Fellow nursing classmates helped coordinate the surprise and their heartwarming reunification was applauded by Ana's many supporters from ECTC.

"As an Army veteran myself and a military spouse I felt welcomed and supported at ECTC," said Ana. "I can't speak highly enough about the school and especially the nursing program. I'm so pleased to have had the opportunity to attend."
