Greetings from the DC West Community School District Office! Only 15 days until the end of our first semester. Boy time flies when you are having fun and learning! We have so many wonderful things happening in our school district, the newsletter is just a brief snapshot of some of those things.
As you know, our Board of Education with a vision for the future has embraced a unique solution to update and expand our facilities. Our goal of building a new elementary school opening in 2019 is in progress and we are very excited at how it has advanced. Though the outside is very visible, much is going on inside as well. Here are a few pictures from our most recent tour.

DC West Middle School Students Initiate Lunch Buddies
DC West Middle School Student Council members have been joining the students at DC West Elementary at lunch as lunch buddies. This activity started as a
#BeFalconKind activity and was so enjoyed by all students that they have continued! We are very proud of the middle school students and their leadership in teaching our elementary students about inclusiveness and kindness. Great kids, great leaders!
