COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS
DC West Community Schools engaged in Veterans Day 2019 in many ways. Mrs. Remmick's Government and World Civilization classes visited the National Guard Museum. The Honor Guard from the American Legion Post 58 & VFW 9897 presented to all middle school students, who learned to fold the American Flag. Elementary classrooms learned about Veterans Day and the 4th grade students ended the evening with a Veterans Day music program. We thank all of our veterans, community partners and patrons who honored this day with us.

Family Funds Available
The DC West Community was hit hard during the Flood of 2019. During this time our community was embraced with generous support from fellow school districts, business partners, and concerned advocates. We provided support for many families who needed financial assistance or donations in the immediate aftermath of the flood. We know for some families, the impact of the flood continues and some are still rebuilding. We are upon the holidays, which can also be a stressful or expensive time for families. We still have some family funds to be able to provide assistance and support. Please contact Melissa Poloncic, DC West Superintendent, if there is any way we can help your family.
