ECTC business degree leads to a variety of careers

Five degree paths, two diploma options and over 15 certificates. See why students are starting their business journey at ECTC!

Sometimes a sandwich bag isn’t just a sandwich bag – sometimes it’s a LIFELINE

ECTC student Hope Yates and her family were struggling to afford household items – not only food, but also basics like sandwich bags for her kids’ packed lunches. She considered putting her degree on hold to help make ends meet, but then she met with Lynette Kennedy, Family Scholar House (FSH) Liaison. Lynette helped Hope obtain items that allowed her to continue her education and focus on her degree, including food, gas cards and, yes, sandwich bags.

“It may sound silly, but being without such normal household items and then being given those items is such a blessing,” Hope said. “Lynette and her team at FSH have made me feel like I’m not alone, and provided me with resources and constant support while I finish my education.”

The average need for students in situations like Hope’s is $250. It does not take much to make a huge impact on someone’s life. Because of FSH, and donors who support initiatives like ECTC’s Student Emergency Fund, Hope is able to continue her dream of higher education.

Please consider supporting students like Hope by donating to ECTC. A gift of any amount will make a difference in the lives of our students. Checks can be made out to ECTC Foundation with FSH Student Emergency Fund in the memo. Donations also can be made online at ECTCforBetterLives.com.
