ECTC graduation rate continues to climb


ECTC students continued to make gains during the 2023-24 academic year, driving the college’s graduation rate to 59.5%, compared to the national average of 35.5% for two-year colleges.

ECTC and KSU announce new RN-to-BSN partnership


ECTC and Kentucky State University announced at a recent signing ceremony a new partnership to provide a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. The partnership creates a pathway for graduates of ECTC’s nursing program to pursue a BSN from KSU with significant in-person support on the ECTC campus. In addition, the ECTC-2-KSU Pathway Scholarship provides a tuition-free bachelor’s degree to students eligible for the federal Pell grant.

ECTC celebrates First Gen Week


ECTC celebrated the third annual First Generation Week this month, highlighting students whose unique obstacles can make it more difficult for them to succeed at college. Nearly one in five ECTC students is considered first generation, meaning neither parent holds a college degree. The college hosted events that raised awareness of the barriers these students may face and fostered connections between students and community members with similar experiences.

1,384 students make President’s and Dean’s Lists for Spring 2024


ECTC has announced the names of students who made the President’s Honor List and the Dean’s List for the Spring 2024 semester.


The President’s Honor List is awarded to full-time and part-time students who are eligible based on the following criteria.

UofL ULtra now available at ECTC


ECTC is proud to announce ULtra is now available on campus. ULtra is a free program designed for ECTC who wish to transfer to the University of Louisville. ULtra has two overarching goals- (1) to provide academic advising assistance to future UofL transfer students and (2) help to ease transfer shock of UofL transfers from ECTC.

Alpha Lambda Delta chapter of PTK receives $1,000 Honors in Action grant


The Alpha Lambda Delta chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at ECTC has been awarded a $1,000 Honors in Action grant. This funding will support the chapter's 2024 Honors in Action project, “Why ECTC.”

Metallica Scholar, CMM student given tools for success at ECTC


ECTC Computerized Manufacturing and Machining student Dylan Kerr says the college has given him the tools to be successful after graduating – both figuratively and literally. The recent Metallica Scholar has created items he can use in his career, such as an aluminum brass hammer, but he also has built up his soft skills.
