ECTC Celebrates Historic

University Center Campaign


Elizabethtown Community and Technical College donors, volunteers and supporters gathered Thursday, Oct. 28, to celebrate the conclusion of the University Center campaign. Launched in 2019 with a historic $1 million gift from Dr. Robert and Rita Robbins, the campaign concluded with over $2.1 million in donations.

ECTC Earns National Award for Entrepreneuring Excellence


ECTC has been recognized with Higher Education Innovation’s (HEI) inaugural Institutional Award for Entrepreneuring Excellence. The national award recognizes ECTC as an innovative institution that has been entrepreneurial in developing new solutions for future success. ECTC’s selection was based on the college’s proactive approach to leading economic and educational change through initiatives such as the Greater Knox Coding Academy, Advanced Manufacturing Career Skills Program with the U.S. Army, mobile training units, and Metallica Scholars Initiative.

October is Manufacturing Month and ECTC is proud to be the primary provider of manufacturing training in the region. Equipment from ECTC’s discontinued dental hygiene program is creating new opportunities for Community Health Clinic in Elizabethtown. The equipment will allow the clinic to begin offering on-site dental services.

Mom of 5 perseveres to pursue nursing degree


Michelle Manfull, mother of five and Elizabethtown Community and Technical College nursing student, is well on her way to achieving a dream many years in the making.  


“I finally realized there wasn’t ever going to be any right time to start classes and I knew I wanted to show my kids that you really can go after what you want,” said Manfull.

Lately, I’m hearing the same question everywhere I go. What does the BlueOvalSK Battery Park announcement mean for Elizabethtown Community and Technical College?



The record-breaking economic investment by Ford and SK Innovation has generated a lot of excitement in our community. Rightfully so. BlueOvalSK Battery Park is a $5.8 billion investment — the largest in Kentucky history — and it will bring 5,000 jobs to our community. Ancillary businesses will bring more jobs.
