ECTC recognizes Manufacturing Month


ECTC plays a key role in preparing tomorrow’s workforce for the challenges and opportunities that await in Kentucky’s high-demand career fields, including the dynamic advanced manufacturing sector. During October, Manufacturing Month, the college recognizes the students, alumni, employers and community partners contributing to the region’s unprecedented advanced manufacturing growth.

Pate chosen for the Aspen Institute’s Presidents Fellowship


The Aspen Institute College Excellence Program (Aspen) has announced that Dr. Juston Pate, president and CEO at ECTC, is one of 25 innovative leaders selected from across the country to participate in the second cohort of the Aspen Presidents Fellowship, sponsored by JPMorgan Chase. The fellows will engage in a unique year-long professional development experience that will help them refine and enact a reform agenda to help more of their students succeed both during and after college.

Baptist donation supports real-world experience for ECTC radiography students


ECTC radiography instructors are simulating new real-world experiences for students thanks to a recent donation from Baptist Health Hardin.



Baptist recently donated a portable X-ray machine and a C-arm machine to ECTC’s radiography program for use in the classroom, which allows students to better prepare for clinical rotations and future employment, said Radiography Program Coordinator and Instructor April Thompson.

Community collecting Thanksgiving meals for ECTC student families


The community is invited to help ECTC students and their families celebrate Thanksgiving again this year through the Family Scholar House Thanksgiving Meal Drive. This is the third year for the drive, which served 100 ECTC students and families last year. Donations will be accepted Oct. 14 to Nov. 15 at various locations throughout the community, with a goal to serve at least 100 students this year.

Nominations open for ECTC Distinguished Alumni and Lifetime Achievement Awards


Now in its 19th year, ECTC’s Distinguished Alumni program has celebrated the accomplishments of 154 outstanding former students and graduates. These leaders have made noteworthy contributions to their professions and communities, expanding ECTC’s impact across the country. Nominees are now being sought for induction into the 2025 class of honorees.
