STCC-y Thanksgiving Recipes

On behalf of STCC students, faculty, and staff, we thank you for your continued support!

Thankfulness is the beginning of gratitude.

Gratitude is the completion of thankfulness. Thankfulness may consist merely of words. Gratitude is shown in acts.

~Henri Frederic Amiel

Newly elected Student Body President

Sharay Salters gives thanks

Sharay Salters is the newly elected Student Body President and also works part-time in both the Student Activities and the Development Offices. Sharay is a second-year student at STCC pursuing a degree in Business, with the goal of pursuing a Master of Business Administration.

"Scholarship assistance has been pivotal in shaping my academic and professional journey by providing the financial stability needed to focus on my studies and seize opportunities that might have otherwise been out of reach. As we reflect on the theme "See Yourself " I am reminded of how this support has been a catalyst in my life. As a first-generation student, it has not only made it possible for me to pursue my dreams but has also empowered me to set a meaningful example for my daughters, Stephannie and Brooklyn".

Free community college programs

are available for all Massachusetts residents

Together, MassEducate and MassReconnect provide the opportunity for all Massachusetts residents, regardless of age or income who have yet to earn a bachelor’s degree, the opportunity to earn an associate degree or certificate at any Massachusetts community college, if they meet all eligibility requirements and complete the proper steps to enroll and matriculate.

“We are grateful to the legislature, and in particular the Western Massachusetts delegation, and the Healey-Driscoll administration for this investment in our future,” Cook said. “Free community college for Massachusetts residents reflects a broader commitment to education as a public good, emphasizing that access to education should not be limited by financial constraints.”

Fall in love with STCC

Springfield Technical Community College is the only technical community college in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Located on the site of the Springfield Armory National Park, which was founded by Henry Knox and George Washington during the Revolutionary War, STCC now occupies many of the buildings. The U.S. Armory at Springfield closed in 1969 however it remains as a historic site managed by the U.S. National Park Service.

Twenty acres of the 55-acre site remain in the hands of the U.S. National Park Service for historic preservation and 35 acres comprise the college campus. In addition to newer facilities, numerous historic buildings have been repurposed as classrooms.

STCC-y Thanksgiving Recipes

Sticky-Sweet Maple Glazed Butterflied Turkey

Shake up your Thanksgiving dinner with this Maple Glazed Butterflied Turkey! It’s the perfect blend of classic holiday flavors with a cozy fall twist, thanks to a garlic herb compound butter, a sticky-sweet maple glaze, and spatchcocking (aka butterflying)—my go-to method for an insanely juicy bird.
