COMMUNITY CONTEMPLATION
September 4-8

There are only a few more dates for meditation on the bluff overlooking the lake—come experience it while you can! We will remain outside Wednesdays at 6:30 AM and Sundays at 7:45 AM until 9/22 (last Sunday at the beach)—Venu may push it a little longer on Wednesdays but probably not much.
Stay tuned.

On the Bluff between Center and Prospect

For Sundays... a tarp and blanket is provided along with a couple chairs and a park bench that seats 3—if you would like something specific to sit on please bring it—towels, blankets, stools, cushions work well. If you are running late don't hesitate to quietly join us.
In the event of inclement weather (raining), meditation will convene in the north shelter at the bottom of the staircase on the beach.
“A contemplative is not one who takes his prayer seriously, but one who takes God seriously, who is famished for truth, who seeks to live in generous simplicity, in the spirit. An ardent and sincere humility is the best protection for his life of prayer.”
—Merton

This takes a bit of unpacking, maybe especially the troublesome proper name God... —Zach
