Here's an update about what is happening at House of Prayer!

We Make Room

“Mary gives birth to Jesus and lies him in the manger because there was no room in the Inn.” Even when there seems to be no room, God makes room. We do the same – for the things that are important in our lives – and at Christmas, we take the time to celebrate the Word made flesh dwelling among us. For questions regarding worship, please get in touch with Pastor Eric at [email protected], or 612-866-8471, ext. 2.

Year-End Giving

This Christmas, we find ourselves in a mind frame of gratitude and giving. Many of us give of our time and finances during this season thanking God for our blessings. As you consider the importance of House of Prayer in your life, consider a special gift to boost our shared ministry.

Your financial gifts help to fund outreach to our community, provide a welcome environment for children and youth, and support the spiritual lives of our members. An extra gift during this season will help us head into 2024 with confidence that we can grow into the plans God has for House of Prayer.

Thank you! Pastor Eric.

Give online at https://hoplc.org/give. If you have any questions, contact Patti Benson at [email protected] / 612-866-8471 ext. 4.

Sunday School/RALY Christmas Program Thank You

I had the pleasure and honor of working on a Christmas pageant with the children and youth of Woodlake this year. I was constantly delighted by the joy and playfulness I saw, and deeply impressed by the responsibility and engagement of the older youth. In all my years as a public school music teacher, I never encountered such a high level of support from colleagues and families, so I want to express my gratitude for all of the collaborative work that went into our lively adaptation of the Christmas story. Thank you, thank you, thank you -- I can't wait for next year! ~ Andy Pokel. For questions regarding the pageant, or Sunday School, please contact Andry Jurcich at [email protected].

HOP Preschool

Hello from HoPP! As a fun Christmas craft we got to make our own stuffed penguins this week at preschool. We also watched “Charlie Brown Christmas” and read lots of fun stories! We will be closed until the New Year so families can spend time together - see you in 2024! If you have questions about HoPP, please email Nicole at [email protected].

RALY Christmas Party

RALY's final December event was a white elephant gift exchange. Each youth brought a gift to be wrapped and shared with the group. Then, kids were allowed to exchange gifts with others in the group. A lot of laughter and joy ensued! Thanks to the Murphy family for providing a yummy dinner!  If you have questions, please contact Pastor Neal at [email protected].

Boys and Girls Club December

Baking - Week 3

Hello from The Boys and Girls Club December cookie crew! This week we made "Pretzel Rolo Cookies" and listened to and sang Christmas Carols. Please contact Pastor Neal at [email protected], if you are available for a couple of hours in the afternoon, and want to help encourage and hang out with the kids!

Eyewear Donation Box – Recycle for Sight

Your old eyewear can make a difference! Help Kairi Kim, a dancer with our rental partner Richfield-Bloomington Just for Kix, who is working on a MNCAPS project at Prior Lake High School. She hopes to collect 500 pairs of eyewear – including non-prescription, prescription, and even sunglasses! As long as the eyewear is in good condition, they accept all sorts of eyewear but would prefer more prescribed eyewear. The purpose of this donation will help out children/adults in need, who have impaired vision and don’t have easy access to eye care. A donation box is available on the Welcome Desk through January 15th. If you have any questions, contact Kairi at [email protected].
