Transit Center Community Engagement Session on November 1

The City has been embarking on creating a new Transit District in the heart of Downtown that focuses on Transit Oriented Development, and includes the Sequoia Station Shopping Center, as well as the Caltrain-owned transit center near the intersection of Broadway and the Caltrain tracks.

The Transit District would establish office and residential development capacity for this area as well as modifications to the street patterns and other development standards to support a transit-rich district.

A General Plan and Downtown Precise Plan (DTPP) Amendment are needed to create the district, to establish additional office and residential development for the Transit District, and to modify circulation and other development and parking standards to support a transit-rich district.

The Downtown Business Group, in partnership with the City, will be hosting a community engagement session at the Downtown Business Group Membership Meeting on Tuesday, November 1 from 5:30 pm - 7 pm, at the IOOF Hall (839 Main Street).

We welcome you to join us and share your thoughts on the future of the Transit Center and learn how to become involved in the process!
