THE PEER PROJECT recently funded a third year of support for Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools Teacher Academy .

In August, 100 teacher mentors came together at Mt. Tabor High School for two days of training to gear up for the third year of the Teacher Academy.
The innovative program, which runs throughout the school year, develops educators to become Teacher Leaders in one of three ways: by opening their classrooms for observation, by working as mentors to other teachers, or by developing learning opportunities for teachers. Watch our video featuring Teacher Leader, Lauren Parmley.

"Teacher Academy has encouraged great collaboration, team building, and a unique atmosphere in which we build teacher capacity and support students. We are proud to be 100 strong!"
