J.C. Blair Hosts National Healthcare Decisions Day Breakfast Panel
J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, along with other national, state and community organizations, are leading a massive effort to highlight the importance of advance healthcare decision-making - an effort that has culminated in the formal designation of April 16 as National Healthcare Decisions Day (NHDD). As a participating organization, J.C. Blair is providing information and tools for the public to talk about their wishes with family, friends and healthcare providers, and execute written advance directives (healthcare power of attorney and living will) in accordance with Pennsylvania state laws. These resources are available at www.jcblair.org and www.nationalhealthcaredecisionsday.org.

Agricultural Secretary Luncheon
On Wednesday, April 10 we hosted the Secretary of Agriculture, Russell Redding, at the Huntingdon County Career & Technology Center for a luncheon. Secretary Redding discussed the impact of agriculture to our economy, how PA is dealing with the depressed milk prices due to the increased supply of dairy products across the country, and how the department is working to sustain the future of agriculture. He also answered several questions from attendees and continued conversation after the luncheon came to an end.
We had FFA chapters from across the county attend the event. The Blue Juniata FFA did opening and closing ceremonies.
