The $25,000 grant supported on-farm diversification through the construction of a multi-purpose wood barn with retail operations which was crafted from Killarney, Ontario sourced materials. Mayor Ann Lawlor, accompanied by Ward 2 Councillors Jason Brass and Joseph Racinsky, Regional Councillor Clark Somerville, and members of the Town’s Economic Development division, presented Chudleigh’s with a ceremonial cheque in recognition of this achievement. |
Chudleigh’s Entertainment Farm has been a cherished Halton Hills destination for families since 1967, offering a slice of country life and the warmth of freshly baked apple pies. What began as a small, on-site baking operation has grown into a modern 110,000-square-foot bakery producing desserts enjoyed across North America. Even with their international success, Chudleigh’s remains deeply rooted in their local heritage and dedicated to creating memorable experiences on their family farm.

Halton Hills’ 2025 Budget Finalized | |
On Friday, the 2025 budget for the Town of Halton Hills was finalized following a 9-hour Budget Committee Meeting earlier in the week. The budget reflects a collaborative Council process with a focus on investing in community safety through a Fire Levy, maintaining existing infrastructure and services while keeping property taxes as low as possible.
The 2025 budget supports key initiatives such as:
- Implementing the Fire Master Plan (Fire Special Levy of .9%)
- Investing in existing infrastructure (State of Good Repair Special Levy of 1.28%)
- Ensuring corporate and community safety
- Managing growth and new construction
The result is a 4.44 per cent increase on the Town’s portion of the tax bill. This represents, for Town of Halton Hills services, an increase of about $239 on a home assessed at $600,000.
