Every year since 2001, the Waukesha County Community Foundation has awarded grants to nonprofits in our community through a competitive application process. In 2001, the total awarded was $8,000 while in 2023, more than $166,000 was awarded. Over the years, more than $1.9 million has been awarded through the Community Grants Cycle.
These grants are possible through endowed funds which were created by donors like you. Field of Interest Funds, combined with our general Community Grants Fund, make it possible for the WCCF to respond to nonprofit requests and meet community needs. With your help, we have awarded grants in support of arts and culture, health and human services, education, community development, conservation, and historical preservation.
In honor of our 25 years milestone, please consider a gift of $25, $250, or more to grow our impact. We seek to double the Community Grants Fund and increase the grant dollars available annually to meet emerging needs like housing, mental health, and addiction recovery support. Through our work with nonprofits and collaboration on county-wide projects, we know the needs of Waukesha County continue to increase and change, and your support will help us meet those needs in perpetuity.
