Community Meeting Video Now Available!

Thank you again to those of you that were able to attend our 5th annual Community Meeting in September. We shared Foundation updates about grantmaking and committee work, as well as on the Lakewood Community Health Needs Assessment

Partner Events & Resources

Friends of Madison Park and the City of Lakewood are hosting Fall Fest on Thursday, October 19, 2023. This free family-friendly

community event consists of pumpkin decorating, a bounce house, music, pizza,

and more.


The event is at Madison Park's main picnic pavilion, near the

softball field.


Trials for Hope hosts a Community Meal at Calvary United Methodist Church on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month (next up: October 28, 2023). They also offer household items, clothing, and diapers. Income eligible residents are welcome to attend.

 

The City of Lakewood invites our newest residents to the "Welcome to Lakewood" event on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Garfield Middle School (13114 Detroit Ave.) from 6:30p to 8:30p.


This event welcomes new residents and introduces them to local organizations and opportunities.

Kwanzaa Celebration

 

The Lakewood Black Caucus is hosting their annual Kwanzaa celebration on Saturday, December 30, 2023 from noon to 2p at Lawther Hall in Lakewood Presbyterian Church (14502 Detroit Ave.).
