The Municipality of Meaford is exploring the reinstatement of a BIA to support and strengthen our downtown. A BIA is a partnership between the Municipality and local business and property owners that works to promote, beautify, and advocate for the commercial core. By pooling resources, a BIA can help attract more visitors, improve the downtown experience, and create a stronger local economy.

You are invited to attend this drop-in session to learn more, ask questions, and share your thoughts.

Relaunched Business Directory Showcases Meaford’s Business Community



The Municipality of Meaford has relaunched its online Business Directory to make it easier for residents and visitors to find local businesses.

Business owners are encouraged to update their listings or submit a free listing if not already included.

Bridge Replacements on 7th Line & Sideroad 8

We are replacing both the 7th Line Bridge (between 6th Sideroad and 7th Concession) and the Sideroad 8 Bridge (between Grey Road 7 and 4th Concession South).

These upgrades will improve safety, reliability, and access for local residents, farmers, and visitors. 

Construction is underway at both locations, and traffic impacts are expected. Please plan ahead and watch for signage in these areas.

Road Rehabilitation on Aiken Street and 3rd Line this Month

Road work is starting this month on sections of Aiken Street and 3rd Line. Both projects include culvert replacements, surface improvements, and new asphalt to provide a smoother, longer-lasting drive.

Please take extra caution when traveling in these areas.

Don’t Miss the Final Movie Under the Stars, Dirty Dancing

There’s still one more chance to enjoy a free outdoor movie night in Meaford. Join us at the Meaford Harbour this Friday, September 5, for the final screening of the summer, Dirty Dancing.

Bring your family, friends, and lawn chairs for a fun evening under the stars. The movie begins at dusk, and admission is free.
